Truck Year/Model/Engine: 2016 Freightliner Cascadia Detroit DD15
As I was driving down I-40 headed East almost to Oklahoma City, OK, my check engine light came on. So I plugged in my scanner tool from OTR Performance to see what the code was. The issue was the 7th injector (Doser Injector Valve) was plugged up and needed to be cleaned/replaced. Join me in the video below to see how I handled the situation. The video shows me encountering a check engine light and a malfunction indicator light while driving. I use an OTR Performance tool to check for error codes and identify a problem with the seventh injector causing low temperature regeneration. I clean the injector, perform a forced regeneration, and monitors the progress through the diagnostic app. After driving hundreds of miles, the lights do not reappear, indicating a successful fix without needing a costly visit to a repair shop. The driver emphasizes the convenience and cost-saving benefits of using the OTR Performance tool for owner operators, especially for long-haul truck drivers.
